JOIN OUR DIAMOND, PEARL, SILVER & BRONZE PARTNERS In memory of Madelon Seligman z”l long time Opening the Doors supporter High Holiday Learning At Beth Ahm The weeks leading up to the Jewish new year are an oppor- tunity for introspection, self- assessment, study and prayer, all geared to repairing our relation- ships with each other and with God. Each year at this time, Congregation Beth Ahm in West Bloomfield offers an array of resources for self-directed Jewish learning. Beth Ahm’s Days of Awe Resource Guide for 5778/2017 can be found on the shul’s web- site, www.cbahm.org. Printed copies can be picked up at the synagogue during the week on the Days of Awe Resource Table in the upper-level hallway, near the chapel where daily minyan services are held; and on Shabbat morning, when the Resource Table is in the shul foyer just out- side the main sanctuary. The guide includes materials and links to online learning por- tals where even more information can be found, including recom- mended books and websites, a Chasidic Master’s Spiritual Exercise for the Days of Awe and a meditation before Yom Kippur for one who cannot fast. VIDEO SERIES In addition, on Wednesday afternoons through the end of the fall holidays (no sessions on Sept. 20 or Oct. 4), Beth Ahm’s Drop In & Learn videostream- ing learning group will watch a lecture series on You Tube titled “The Kabbalah of Forgiveness,” featuring Professor Henry Abramson of Touro College in New York City. These sessions are free and open to the community. For information about Beth Ahm’s resource guide and/or the Wednesday series, contact Nancy Kaplan, (248) 737-1931 or email nancyellen879@att.net. • DIAMOND PARTNERS Mary Must Madelon Seligman z”l & Lou Seligman PLATINUM PARTNER Anita Naftaly Family Circle Fund PEARL PARTNERS The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Henry Ford Department of Pediatrics Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit’s Opening the Doors in collaboration with the Annual Jewish Book Fair Anita Naftaly Family Circle Conference It’s Not All About Me: Developing Empathy and Character in Kids F E AT U R I N G Michele Borba, Ed.D.
