Visit www.meetyouatthewell. org/reflect4rosh to learn more. • Judge Rosen To Receive Honor American Friends of the Hebrew University will honor Gerald Rosen, a prominent judge (retired) and member of the U.S. legal community, with the prestigious Torch of Learning Award at a din- ner in Detroit on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center in Detroit. The AFHU Rosen Torch of Learning Award is conferred upon outstanding U.S. legal professionals known for their leadership, scholarship, public service and philanthropic engagement. Judge Rosen was nominated by President George H.W. Bush in 1989 to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and invested in 1990. He served as Chief Judge of the Court from Jan. 1, 2009, through Dec. 31, 2015. Upon retir- ing, he opened the Detroit office of JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services), the world’s largest provider of alternative dis- pute resolution services. Dinner proceeds will ben- efit the Hebrew University and AFHU’s mission in support of the university.
