helley Yorke Rose of
Waterford, and Nathaniel
and Delores Dyer of Baton
Rouge, La., are delighted to
announce the engagement of their
children Stephanie Leigh Rose and
Nathan Joseph Dyer. Stephanie is
also the daughter of Patrick Rose
of Waterford
Stephanie earned her bachelor
of business administration and
her master’s of public policy from
the University of Michigan. She is
the managing director of Impact
Reviews for Teach for America.
Nathan earned his bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from
Louisiana State University. He is a chemical engineer for Hyde Engineering
and Consulting in Denver, Colo.
The couple met in Denver in 2014 and live there. A fall 2017 wedding is
planned. •

Rachael Lauren to Max Norman
Gordon, son of Debra and Dr.
James Gordon, also of West
Bloomfield.
Rachael earned a bachelor’s
degree in 2013 and a master’s
degree in 2014 from the University
of Michigan. She taught high
school science in Detroit for three
years. She is returning to the University of Michigan in the fall to pursue a
doctoral degree in education.
Max graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2013, earning
a bachelor’s degree in architecture while pitching for the baseball team. He
now works for Broder & Sachse Real Estate in Birmingham.
Rachael and Max, residents of Detroit, will be married this August at
Knollwood Country Club in West Bloomfield. •

har and Brian Kerman of
Clarkston celebrated their
anniversary at a family
dinner. The following evening
their children, Sean and Lauren
(Friedman) Kerman of Bloomfield
Hills, Staci Kerman and Drew
Vanhecke of San Diego, Jodi
(Kerman) and Simon Maierhofer
of San Diego, hosted a surprise
party at Maggiano’s in Troy.
Granddaughter Katelyn Kerman
was the star of the party. A hot-
air balloon ride and Mediterranean cruise are planned to further mark the
occasion. •
