Jewish Family Service had its annual event on June 6 at Congregation
Shaarey Zedek, where more than 800 people gathered to hear author
Jennifer Teege share her uniquely compelling story. At age 38, she dis-
covered her family’s disturbing lineage and learned she was the grand-
daughter of Nazi commander Amon Goeth. (Portrayed by Ralph Fiennes
in Schindler’s List.) Event Chair Sandy Muskovitz Danto talked about JFS’
decades-long work with Holocaust survivors, and those in attendance
were able to purchase copies of Teege’s book, My Grandfather Would
Have Shot Me, and have them signed by the author. •
