he Dr. Gary Burnstein
Community Health
Clinic (GBCHC) recently
received grants from the Jeffrey
and Jennifer Farber Family
Foundation and David and
Nanci Farber Family Foundation
totaling $100,000 to pay down
GBCHC’s mortgage and sub-
sidize a new food distribution
initiative.
This is the most recent con-
tribution in a long and support-
ive relationship between the
Farber family and GBCHC. The
recent grants will have a trans-
formative impact on GBCHC’s
capacity to provide free medi-
cal and dental care for those
in need by allowing GBCHC to
operate debt-free following the
$1 million renovation to create
its new facility in 2015 and by
supporting GBCHC to include
free food distribution in its
offerings, helping it to become
a one-stop shop for health and
wellness for its patients.

critical need in our community,”
says Jeff Farber, president of
the Jeffrey and Jennifer Farber
Family Foundation. “This grant
is intended to ensure that the
resource will remain for those
who need it now and in the
future by providing the finan-
cial stability that comes with
being debt-free. We hope that
this allows GBCHC the flexibil-
ity to devote their resources to
finding creative solutions to big
problems, including their recent
food distribution initiative.”
GBCHC provides free medical
and dental care to more than
2,000 patients annually by uti-
lizing a network of nearly 150
volunteer medical and dental
providers and pharmacists. •
