FOOD STAMP DIET CHALLENGE

Organized by Yad Ezra kosher food bank to
raise awareness about the Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly
known as “food stamps.” After a briefing,
participants as a group will purchase food for
their own $4.20 per person — the daily SNAP
allocation for almost 1.5 million Michigan
residents. Only these purchased items may be
consumed over 24 hours. A film crew will be
present on the shopping trip. At the Meijer’s
