engagement of their daughter
Lauren Marissa to Jonathan
Ackerman, son of Steven and
Simcha Ackerman of Deerfield, Ill.
Lauren graduated from the
University of Michigan and
received her master’s degree in
communication disorders and
sciences from Northwestern
University. She is a hospital-based
speech pathologist in Chicago.
Jonathan graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in commu-
nications and English. He is vice president of Carrier Procurement for Load
Delivered Logistics.
The bride’s grandmother Sharon Horwitz is thrilled to celebrate this joyful
event. Lauren is also the granddaughter of the late Dr. Jerome Horwitz.
An August 2017 wedding is planned in Rochester, Mich. The couple will
return to Chicago, where they will reside. •
