Evrett is a student at Royal Oak
Middle School. For his most mean-
ingful mitzvah project, he took part
in the PeerCorps Detroit Bethel
Community Transformation Center
program, where he worked alongside
community members and youth in
construction and design projects.

grandson of Ann and Jerry Jones,

Austin is a student at Clifford Smart
Middle School in Commerce. For his
mitzvah project, he volunteered in the
religious school, helping younger stu-
dents with Hebrew. He read from the
Torah that he helped write.

Nicholas is the grandchild of Elaine
and Mervyn Manning, Max and the
late Ushi Lurz, and Christiane and
Robert Barondeau and the great-
grandchild of Marie-Therese Grand.
Nicholas is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Beverly Hills. As
part of his most rewarding mitzvah
project, Nicholas worked to combat
hunger by donating his time to orga-
nizing and sorting food at Gleaners
Food Bank and distributing food at
Yad Ezra, Michigan’s kosher food
pantry in Berkley.

meaningful mitzvah experience,
Eliana volunteered at the West
Bloomfield-based Friendship Circle,
where she helped teach basic cook-
ing skills to an individual with spe-
cial needs.
Andrew Lee Tukel

Southfield. He is
the son of Sandra
and Jonathan Tukel

and is the brother
of Steven and Henry. Andy is the
grandson of Reva and the late Dr. Eli
H. Kuhel, the late Emily and the late
Sherwin Tukel.
Andy is a seventh-grade student
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmingron Hills. Among
his mitzvah experiences, he found
volunteering at the Yad Ezra food
pantry in Berkley to be the most
meaningful.
