HAROLD WEINGART,
87, of Southfield, died
May 22, 2017.
He is survived by his
beloved wife, Sylvia
Weingart; daugh-
ters and sons-in-law,
Debbie (David) Kolb,
Weingart
Karen Meisel and
Lisa (Dale) Garber;
grandchildren, Matthew Kolb, Michael
(Marcy) Kolb, Alex Meisel, Austin
Meisel, Samantha (Brent) Kendziorski,
Jenna Garber ( fiance, Alan McGee) and
Noah Garber; great-grandchild, Ezra
Kolb; brother, Irving Weingart; many
loving nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Mr. Weingart was the brother of the
late Bernie Weingart.
Interment took place at Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be made to
Temple Israel or the American Heart
Association. Arrangements by Dorfman
Chapel.

GOLDIE TUKEL WEINSTEIN, 85, of
Atlanta, Ga., died, May 29, 2017.
She was born in Detroit in 1931.
Goldie was an amazing force of nature:
loyal, strong, dedicated, generous to all
and possessing a great sense of humor.
There was no one else you would ever
want to have stand at your side.
A graduate of Wayne State University
in Detroit, she taught early child-
hood education in the Detroit and Los
Angeles metro-area school systems
before meeting Harold at a wedding
in Detroit and marrying three months
later.
Shortly thereafter, they moved to
Atlanta, where they singlehandedly
changed the nature of eating lunch in
the central business district of down-
town Atlanta. She was half of the
dynamic duo behind Harold’s Sandwich
Shop. In addition to the lives that she
touched through the sandwich shop
with Harold, she was active in City of
Hope, the Congregation Beth Jacob
Sisterhood and was an active supporter
of the civil rights movement. Central to

her life were her children and grandchil-
dren.
Mrs. Weinstein is survived by her
daughters, Carol Weinstein Karlin and
Judith Weinstein Faber (Michael); son,
Steven Weinstein (Chayna); brother,
Irving Tukel (Barbara); grandchildren,
Michal and Moshe Karlin, William
Faber, Hana, Aaron and Ilana Weinstein.
She was proceeded in death by her
husband, Harold Morton Weinstein, and
her parents, Helen and Charles Tukel.

Opera or a charity of one’s choice. Sign

Crest Lawn Memorial Park with Rabbi
Ilan Feldman officiating. Arrangements

patients.
Dr. Young was the beloved daughter
of the late Dr. Irving Young.
Interment took place at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in

DR. SHIRA L. YOUNG, 67, of Valencia,
Calif., died May 29, 2017.
She is survived by her mother, Bina
Young; aunt, Dr. Mildred Axelrod; sis-
ters, Naomi Young and Linda (Sol)
