PEIMER, 98, of
West Bloomfield,
died May 22, 2017.
Sydney was born
in Brooklyn, N.Y.,
on June 29, 1918.
He began his career
Peimer
as a registered
nurse in 1941. He
then became a hospital adminis-
trator at the Jewish Hospital and
Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn. In
1957, Sydney moved to Detroit and
became senior vice president for
medical affairs at Sinai Hospital of
Detroit, retiring in 1980.
He was active in healthcare in the
Detroit community, including mem-
bership on the board of trustees
of Blue Cross and Blue Shield. He
was a life member of the American
College of Hospital Administrators,
the American Hospital Association
and the American Public Health
Association. Sydney served as
chairman of the Committee on
Psychiatric Services for the Michigan
Hospital Association.
Opera was his lifelong passion. He
always enjoyed sharing his knowl-
edge and music with his family and
friends.
Mr. Peimer is survived by his
daughter and son-in-law, Joan
and Philip Ober; grandchildren,
Dr. Michelle Ober and Michael
Kasparian, Dr. Michael and Jessica
Ober; great-grandchildren, Blake
and Kate Kasparian, Maya and
Jackson Ober. He is also survived by
his nephew Marc Peimer of Albany,
N.Y., and niece Michele Clemmer of
Charlotte, N.C.
He was the beloved husband
of the late Gertrude Saul Peimer,
devoted brother of the late Leo
Peimer and Ann Peimer of Brooklyn,
N.Y.

Mr. Pollack was the devoted son
of the late Murray and the late Mary
Pollack; loving brother of the late

Mrs. Pudavick is survived by her
husband of more than 20 years,
Arthur Goldfarb; nieces and neph-

Ari and Margie Kirsch, Ashley and
Michael Stein; great-nieces and
great-nephews, Rachel Kirsch,

She was the loving sister and
sister-in-law of the late Stuart and
the late Madeline Pudavick, the late
Sheila and the late Jacob Kresch.
