She will be joined
in celebration by
her sister Isabel and proud grand-
parents Corliss and Larry Gillman,
and Norma Wade, and great-grand-
mother Blossom Kovin.
Madeline attends West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
For her most rewarding mitzvah
project, she volunteered at the
Hadassah Mah Jong Tournament,
where she sold raffle tickets and
helped with the food preparation.

of Commerce Township
are excited to announce
the engagement of their daugh-
ter Carrie Beth to Herbie Aaron
Lukes, son of Celia Lukes and Ron
Lukes of Chicago, Ill.
Carrie graduated from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison
with a bachelor of science degree
in human development and fam-
ily studies. She went on to earn a
master’s of social work at Loyola
University-Chicago. Carrie is
employed as a school social work-
er in Chicago.
Herbie graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.B.A. in finance. He
went on to earn an M.B.A at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Herbie
works at Honor Bound Logistics in accounting.
The couple reside in Chicago. An October wedding is planned in Novi. •
