Ryan Rosman

More than 300 golfers, card players and dinner guests will
join the fun at the 8th Annual Ryan Scott Rosman Memorial
MSU Hillel Golf Outing & Game Day on Monday, June 19, at
Tam-O-Shanter Country Club.
Featured will be 18 holes of golf, contests, a ladies’ lun-
cheon and game room, auctions and a festive community-
wide dinner. The annual event honors Ryan’s memory by cel-
ebrating his passions for golf, entrepreneurship and Jewish
community.
Ryan, the late son of Dr. David and Marla
Rosman and brother of Jamie and Erica, was
a special young man. His parents describe
him as a person who would give of himself
and expect nothing in return. Ryan attended
Michigan State University. He was an active
member of AEPi and outstanding student
leader at MSU Hillel.
To honor his memory, his family estab-
lished the Ryan Scott Rosman Angel Award.
The $5,000 award is given to a Jewish student
in need of tuition assistance who embodies
Ryan’s qualities: caring and giving, academic-
minded, entrepreneurial and engaged in the
Jewish community. Past award winners include
David Zemon, Anna Rubin, Alex Scharg, Brad
Isackson, Zach Kottler and Joe Freedman.
Support of the golf outing impacts more
than 5,000 Jewish students at MSU and on the 10 Hillel
Campus Alliance of Michigan (HCAM) campuses. Proceeds
benefit the Ryan Rosman Leadership Fund at MSU Hillel,
Engagement and Jewish Business Association Internships,
the Ryan Rosman Entrepreneurial Grant Fund, Shabbat din-
ners and dynamic programming at HCAM schools.
To register for the outing or for details, visit www.

New Faces At StandWithUs-MI

It Doesn't Have
To Cost A Fortune…
Only Look Like It!

Complete kitchen and bathroom
remodeling as well as furniture
design and installations including
granite, wood and other materials.

StandWithUs Michigan wel-
comed a new board. Reva Rosen,
StandWithUs Michigan board presi-
dent, is a lifelong Michigan resident
and Israel activist.
Robert Rollinger, vice president, is
a lifelong resident of Michigan and
president of Robert S. Rollinger P.C.
in Farmington Hills.
Julie Blair, secretary, was staff
research scientist at General
Motors, where she developed com-
puting operating system support for
graphic design, managed groups of
engineering and scientific software
researchers and held lead positions
in national and international tech-

nical conferences.
These leaders made their mark
when an anti-Israel billboard
appeared on US 23 near Cook Road
in Grand Blanc. They helped lead
a StandWithUs social media cam-
paign, which brought the offensive
sign down in under 24 hours.
Working closely with the new board
is Andrew Moss, Michigan Campus
Liaison and a recent U-M graduate.
He fought the anti-Israel campaign on
his campus and across the state, earn-
ing the prestigious StandWithUs Star
of David Award.
Peggy Shapiro continues as direc-
tor, StandWithUs Midwest. •
