The Well hosted an arts-inspired Passover celebration at the Detroit Institute
of Arts for a capacity crowd of young adults. Attendees explored the
museum’s ancient Egypt exhibit, interacted with character actors to learn
about the story of the Exodus in a deeper way, created Passover-themed
sand art with artist Gail Kaplan and enjoyed music featuring redemption
themes by DJ Ben Plum, inspired kosher-for-Passover food by Chef Cari and
a tequila tasting by Blue Nectar Tequila.
The “Mi-Mitzrayim Margarita” was the evening’s signature beverage. The
evening ended with Pharaoh shouting at all those assembled to “Get out!” •
