milestones. The golden anniversary
of the very first Woman’s World in
1967 was marked by video of the
past 50 years, courtesy of Karen
Couf Cohen. The 10th anniversary
of an endowment by the family of
Lois Linden Nelson and the renam-
ing of Woman’s World in memory
of their beloved mother was also
recognized.
Pop-up shops were chaired by
Laynie Langnas. Co-chairs were
Carol Resnick of Bloomfield Hills,
Suzi Terebelo and Eileen Glogower,
both of Southfield. •

More than 700 multi-genera-
tional women recently attended
the Congregation Shaarey Zedek
Sisterhood’s signature community-
wide event, Woman’s World.
Sally Orley was honored with
the coveted Woman of Valor
award and guests were dazzled
by Emmy Award-winning journalist
Lesley Stahl of CBS’ 60 Minutes.
Stahl shared insights into her
career and a behind-the-scenes-
look into her life as a journalist.
She also previewed an upcom-
ing 60 Minutes interview with the
only remaining prosecutor of the
Nuremberg trials, Ben Ferencz, 97.
