Jankelovitz

Elyssa and Elliot Jankelovitz of Durham, N.C., are grateful to
announce the birth of their son, Ari Hayim (Leib Chaim). Ari
is named after his great-grandfathers Abraham Lichter, Harold
Senker and Herman Merzer. Proud grandparents are Eva and
Sheldon Hamburger of Raleigh, N.C., Cynthia and Richard
Merzer of Boca Raton, Fla., and Stuart Jankelovitz and Dr. Terri
Orbuch of West Bloomfield. Kvelling great-grandparents are

She is the grandchild of Trudy and the
late Ray Rubinoff, and the late Luba
and the late Mark Bokolor.

Among her many mitzvah projects,
she found her most meaningful to
be volunteering weekly at the West
Bloomfield Fleischman Residence
tea time and playing bingo with the
seniors.

Jadyn Fay Bortman,

West Bloomfield.
She is the loving
daughter of Jackie
and Dr. Howard Bortman and sister of
Robby. Jadyn is the grandchild of
Caroline and the late Robert Bortman,
and Linda and Jim Button. She is also
the great-grandchild of the late Mary
and Arthur Kaplan, the late Jeanette
and George Button, the late Shirley
and Alfred Mayer, and the late Fay and
Maurice Bortman.
Jadyn is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. As part of
her mitzvah project, she raised funds
and awareness of the Special Olympics
through a figure skating program. As a
competitive ice skater, she found this
experience to be very rewarding.

West Bloomfield. He
is the loving son of
Meredith and Steven
Carrel and brother of Wagner and
Anna. R.J. feels exceptionally fortunate
to be able to share his celebration with
his proud grandparents Susan and
Alan Carrel, Beth and Gary Heberlein,
and Barbara James. He is also the
grandchild of the late Daniel James.
R.J. is a student at Birmingham
Covington School in Bloomfield Hills.
Among his many mitzvah projects, he
feels his most meaningful experience
was organizing an event at Brooklyn
Pizza, where all funds benefited the
Lindsey and Brett Finsilver HIPEC
Program at the Henry Ford Cancer
Institute.

a book drive to benefit schools in
Detroit for their mitzvah project. Max
attends Berkshire Middle School in
Birmingham.

donation by his friends of one-week
food packages at the Yad Ezra food
pantry in Berkley.

She is the loving
daughter of Alyson and Darren
Findling. Sharing in her celebration
will be her proud siblings Emily, Ryan
and Justin and her delighted grand-
parents Phyllis and Allen Rubin, Luba
and Fred Findling, and Gisele and Vin
Pavone.
Hannah is a student at Norup
International School in Oak Park. She
is an avid animal lover and for her
mitzvah project loved volunteering at
a doggy daycare facility.

Grandma Rona Rones. Brandon is the
great-grandson to Zayzay Jack
Caminker.
He is a seventh-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
in Farmington Hills. He has had the
honor of working with JARC this year.

the great-grandchild of the late Joe
Smith, the late Florence and the late
Sam Meltzer, the late Betty and the
late Joe Nosanchuk, and the late Sarah
and the late Harry Laker.
Sawyer is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. As part of
his mitzvah project, he donated tze-
dekah to the Send a Kid to Tamarack
Scholarship Fund. He found this to be
the most meaningful of his many proj-
ects as he could directly help ensure
that no child is denied a Jewish camp-
ing experience.
