More than 400 women came out to Knollwood Country Club in West
Bloomfield March 16 for ORT’s annual WINGO fundraiser (women’s-only
bingo). More than $1,600 in prizes were awarded, including a grand prize of
$250, with 30 raffles that included many $50 gift certificates to local retailers.
The event included a silent auction, raffles, a strolling dinner and desserts.
WINGO generated nearly $60,000 for ORT’s educational programs, a
portion of which will support art therapy programs, helping at-risk students
overcome emotional, social and behavioral barriers and improve academic
achievements. Next up for ORT Michigan is ORT and the City on Thursday,
May 18, at Eastern Market’s Shed 5. To learn more about ORT, call (248)
723-8860 or email michigan@ortamerica.org. •
