engagement of their son Andrew
Lawrence Samson to Alixandra
Rae Warshawsky of Highland
Park, Ill. Ali is the daughter of Lori
Weiner and Michael Warshawsky.
Ali is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and works
as an account manager at Opal.
Andrew graduated from the
Wharton School at the University
of Pennsylvania and works as a
senior digital brand manager at Nike.
The couple are planning a July 2017 wedding in Portland, Ore., where they
reside. •

Baer 50th

at and Bob Baer of Sarasota,
Fla., began the celebration
of their 50th anniversary
by taking the whole family on
a four-city tour of Italy. At the
time, the family included their
daughter and son-in-law, Laura
and Jeff Raitt; grandchildren,
Devin and Camryn; their son and
pregnant daughter-in-law, Steven
Baer and Merritt Olson. On their
actual 50th anniversary, Dec. 21,
2016, Bob arranged a surprise
celebration for Pat at their new home on Bird Key in Sarasota: an intimate
five-course meal, cooked and served by a talented couple. Their loving fun
continues. •

ose and George Cooper of
West Bloomfield recently
celebrated their 70th wed-
ding anniversary. They marked
the occasion with their children,
Janice and Larry Cohen, Terri and
Gary Cooper, Jackie and Michael
Epstein, and grandchildren, Alyssa
and Aaron Fisher-Cohen, and Ben
Cooper. A summer celebration will
also include grandchildren Mandy
and Jordan Cohen, Danny Epstein
and Sarah Epstein. •
