Andrew is the grandchild of Marcia

He is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. For his most
meaningful mitzvah project, Andrew
volunteered for months with his
grandparents Marcia and Sam Bell
at Yad Ezra in Berkley, where he dis-
tributed food to families in need.

ter of Andrew and the grandchild of
Marcia and Sam Bell, Harvey and
the late Diana Stalburg, and Barbara
and Marvin Kasoff.
She is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. As part of
her mitzvah project, Brooke gave her
time regularly to the LINKS Program
at her middle school, where she
assists children with special needs.
Cara Ree Dones
will become a bat
mitzvah on
Saturday, April 22,
at Congregation
Beth Ahm in West
Bloomfield. She is
the daughter of
Aaron and Jill
Dones
Dones. Cara will
honor her loving
grandparents: the late Carl and the
late Cora Cody, the late Arthur and
the late Susan Dones Rodecker, the
late Mark and the late Elaine Dones.
Cara will celebrate her special
day with many family members and
friends.
Cara is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. For her mitzvah
project, she will raise money for
art supplies for the Kfar Hassidim
School and Youth Village in Israel.

She enjoys volunteering in the
community, particularly as part of
the Mitzvah Volunteer Program
at Friendship Circle of West
Bloomfield.
Benjamin
Abraham Kalt will

vah on Saturday,

Kalt
Lansing. Benjamin
is the son of Brian
and Sara Kalt and
the brother of Jonathan and Daniel.
He is the grandson of Melvyn and
Paula Kalt, Aylene Kovensky-Gard,
and the late William Kovensky.
Benjamin is a student at
MacDonald Middle School in East
Lansing. For his mitzvah project,
he organized fundraisers for the
Ingham County Animal Control and
Shelter.

Celia is a student at Hillel Day

project, she is taking her therapy
dog Ohana to visit with shut-ins,
senior residences and to special
needs schools.

on Saturday, April 22,

West Bloomfield. She
is the loving daughter
of Lauren and Jerod
Morton

Sharing in her simchah will be proud
grandparents Patricia and Gary Trahey,
Kathleen and Kenneth Morton. She is
also the granddaughter of the late Elaine
Zack Trahey.
Ashley is a student at Abbott Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Among her
many mitzvah experiences, she found
participating and raising money for
the Alzheimer’s Walk in memory of her
bubbie Elaine Zack Trahey the most
meaningful.

Lexy is a student at Berkshire Middle
School in Birmingham. Her mitzvah
projects included collecting pop cans
throughout her neighborhood and
donating the money to the Michigan
Humane Society.

Sharing in her celebra-
tion will be her sib-
lings Aaron and Jordan. Sarah is the lov-
ing grandchild of Marilyn and the late
Gilbert Cohen, and Terry and Ronald
Rudman.
She is a student at Clifford Smart
Middle School in Commerce Township.
As part of her mitzvah project, Sarah
volunteered weekly throughout the fall
and winter at Turtle Creek Farm and
gave tzedekah to the farm to be used for
food and other animal needs. The funds
donated were raised by Sarah through
a bottle and can drive and walking dogs
for donations.

mitzvah on Friday,
April 21, at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield. He is the

loving son of Amy and
Brian Shapiro and
brother of Jordyn. His proud grandpar-
ents are Adela and Jack Weisman,
Harvey Chayet, and Niki and Robert
Shapiro. Jonah is also the great-grand-
son of Eleanor and the late Herman
Shapiro, the late Bertha and Sam
Chayet, the late Marion and Sidney Leib,
and the late Shirley and Sam Pearlman.
Jonah is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. As
part of his mitzvah experience, he gave
his time volunteering with the seniors
at Jewish Senior Life’s Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield. He found
playing Wii Bowling and other games
with the residents to be the most mean-
ingful of his many mitzvah projects.

wedding anniversary with fam-

momentous occasion were their

Menken, Steven Menken and grand-
