and the Arab-dominated eastern sec-
tor of Jerusalem was responsible for
all disasters in the world. He essen-
tially portrayed Israel as part of that
“occupation,” not just the disputed
Palestinian territory.
PMW found the Palestinian
Authority and Fatah “routinely repre-
sent all of Israel as Palestine and all
of Israel as an occupation.”
PMW emphasizes that until
Palestinian leaders sustain heavy
political cost for endorsing terror,
like political and financial rebuke
internationally, Fatah’s flirtation with
violence won’t cease. PMW main-
tains Sunni Fatah is an active terror-
supporting organization, much like
its Palestinian leadership archrival
Shiite Hamas, which rules the Gaza
Strip.
Pesach, marking the Israelites’
deliverance from Pharaoh’s bond-
age, begins at sundown April 10.

measure of a man is not where
he stands in moments of
comfort and convenience, but
where he stands at times of
challenge and controversy.”
Menendez stood with Israel
by speaking forcefully against
the Iran Nuclear Deal even
though he was fallaciously
charged with misconduct by
the Obama Administration
and was one of only two
Democratic senators who
broke ranks and voted for
David Freidman. None of the
Jewish senators voted for
Freidman and, in the case of
the Iran Deal, the two Jewish
senators who voted against it
did so for political purposes
while by nuance made clear
they did not expect their col-
leagues to follow their example.
In the 1940s, Peter Bergson
and Ben Hecht tried to get the
attention of the U.S. govern-
ment to do something to miti-
gate the Holocaust while being
fought by many in the Jewish
establishment. There were righ-
teous gentiles then, too.
I thank Sen. Menendez for
having the courage of his con-
victions and for his support of
Israel and America.

President Trump and the U.S.
Congress should use the holiday as
a backdrop to undercut what PMW
calls “propping up” Fatah. In 2016
alone, the U.S. Department of State
allocated more than $357 million in
assistance for Palestinian Authority
projects, according to a Dec. 16 arti-
cle in Times of Israel.
Such assistance is routed to spe-
cific humanitarian projects in hopes
it is spent on legitimate Palestinian
needs rather than filtered through
the corrupt Palestinian Authority.
Still, chances are good a chunk of the
aid is hijacked in the dark recesses
of the P.A. bureaucracy to promote
hatred, violence and anti-Israel vit-
riol.
America must assure its precious
support dollars are helping the
Palestinian people as intended — not
being diverted by the P.A. toward
intentions of evil. •
