Described by the late Israeli President Shimon Peres as the “foreign
minister of the Jewish people,” David Harris has led AJC since 1990.
He has been invited to speak at some of the world’s most prestigious
forums and has been honored 15 times by the governments of
Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia,
Moldova, Poland, Spain, and Ukraine for his international efforts in
defense of human rights, advancement of the transatlantic partnership
and dedication to the Jewish people.

At this event, outstanding alumni

nominated executive producer.
He began working in entertain-
ment at Jim Henson Productions
and has written a number of tele-
vision specials. Prady will receive
the university’s college-level Arts
Advocacy Award.

Josh Cooper, a senior at West Bloomfield High School
in West Bloomfield, is the recipient of the 2017 DECA
Emerging Leader Honor Award. This award recognizes
students studying marketing, finance, hospitality and man-
agement for being an academically prepared, community-
oriented, professionally responsible, experienced leader
through participation in DECA. The recipient must be a
DECA member in his senior year of high school with a
cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better for each of
the high school semesters. Cooper is the son of Beth and
Michael Cooper of West Bloomfield.
