WILLIAM FARBER

z''l

Our hearts are heavy with the passing of Bill Farber.
Bill and his wife Audrey have been dear friends
to Temple Israel for 36 years. Their leadership has
been significant and impactful. Bill’s fondness
for knowledge and the support of education was
repeatedly demonstrated through the Farber’s many
partnerships within the community. A lasting tribute
to Bill’s legacy is the establishment of an endowment
for the Susan and Rabbi Harold Loss Early Childhood
Center at Temple. The endowment supports the Early
Childhood Center preschool program and provides
yearly scholarships to families seeking a Jewish
education for their preschool to kindergarten-aged
children. In addition to Bill’s dedication to Temple,
he and Audrey also collaborated on numerous other
community projects.

Our deepest condolences are with Audrey and the
entire Farber family at this time. Temple Israel and
the community have lost a great friend, a great man,
who likely never realized the weight of his impact
on his beloved community. Sometimes the greatest
among us are those that do the most and enjoy the
spotlight least. This was Bill, genuine and devoted.
He will be profoundly missed.
