Saturday, March 18.

Rayna is a student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
As part of her mitzvah project, she
focused on green recycling. She
worked with the students and staff of
Gretchko Elementary to help estab-
lish a green initiative to provide bet-
ter solutions for unwanted materials
and helped to develop the school’s
recycling bulletin board. Rayna
was awarded a West Bloomfield
Youth Assistance Certificate of
Recognition and a Certificate of
Special Congressional Recognition
for her involvement with the green
initiative.

Matthew Kornspan
(Mendel Chanan),
son of Richard and
Joy Kornspan of
Farmington Hills,
will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Kornspan
March 18, at
Temple Shir
Shalom in West Bloomfield.
Matthew will celebrate with his
brother Noah Kornspan. Matthew is
the grandson of Don and Riki
Kornspan, the late Shirley Kornspan,
the late Beverly Sisler and the late
Harvey Sisler.
Matthew attends Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Among
his many mitzvah projects, his most
special was working with autistic
children at Beaumont Children’s
Center for Exceptional Families.

West Bloomfield.
Sharing in her celebration will be her
sister Jillian and proud grandparents
Mary Simmons, and Cliff and
Marilyn Weisberg. Molly is also the
grandchild of the late Dale Simmons.
Molly is a student at Muir Middle
School in Milford. As part of her
mitzvah project experience, Molly,
who is passionate about animals,
raised funds which she donated to
the Michigan Humane Society.

ects, she found her weekly volunteer-
ing with children who have special
needs at the West Bloomfield-based
Friendship Circle to be the most

Robert is the son of

He is the grandson of Maggie Zeman

Robert is a seventh-grade student
at Norup International School in Oak
Park. Robbie volunteered at Yad Ezra
food pantry in Berkley for his mitz-
vah project.

fortunate to share his celebration

and Stuart Kaufman, and Sheila and
Larry Trepeck, and his beloved great-
grandmother Claire Carson.
Andy is a student at Norup

Among his many mitzvah experi-
ences, he especially enjoyed volun-
teering at Jewish Senior Life in West
Bloomfield, where he interacted with
