his bar mitzvah on
Feb. 11 at Adat Shalom
Synagogue in
Farmington Hills.
Beinstock
Micah is the son of
Deborah Fishman
Bienstock and Robert Bienstock, and
brother of Julia Bienstock. He is the
grandson of Marvin Fishman and the
late Diane Fishman, Sylvia Bienstock,
and the great-grandson of Rena
Fishman.
Micah attends Warner Middle School
in Farmington Hills. He has enjoyed
volunteering at Friends for Animals of
Metro Detroit.

Rebecca Bernard,
daughter of David and
Mechelle Bernard and
older sister of Naomi,
will celebrate her bat
mitzvah at B’nai
Israel Synagogue on
Feb. 18. Rebecca is the
granddaughter of
Bernard
Helmut and Etta
Bernard, and David Leduc and
Margaret Leduc.
Rebecca is a seventh-grade student
at Hillel Day School.

Carson Garrett Brodsky, children of
Susan and Dr. Burton Brodsky, will
share the bimah at Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield on Friday, Feb. 17, as
they celebrate their b’nai mitzvah.
Sharing in their celebration will be
their siblings Brayden and Olivia. They
are the loving grandchildren of Linda
and the late Dr. Easton Brodsky, Phyllis
and John Hassey, and great-grandchil-
dren of Juanita Victor.
Chase and Carson attend Bloomfield
Hills Middle School. They performed
many mitzvah projects, but each felt
the father-son baseball game fund-
raiser they planned and participated in
was the most meaningful. All proceeds
from this event were donated to the
Humane Society.

ari Brooke Gordon and Aaron Michael Zimberg were recently married
at The Henry by Rabbi Aaron Bergman of Adat Shalom Synagogue.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Craig and Susan Gordon of West
Bloomfield. She is the granddaughter of Betty Blase.
The groom is the son of Dr. Jerry and Susie Zimberg of Farmington Hills.
He is the grandson of Barbara Stollman and Shirley Zimberg.
The maid of honor was Brittany Gordon, sister of the bride. The best
man was Daniel Zimberg, brother of the groom. Their bridal party also
included siblings Scott Gordon and Jennifer Zimberg and many of their
close friends.
The newlyweds vacationed in Mexico after the wedding and will honey-
moon in Europe later this year. They reside in Royal Oak. •

They attend Sarah Banks Middle
School in Commerce Township. Aidan
and Evan raised funds for the Crohn’s
& Colitis Foundation of America by
taking part in the event “Take Steps for
Crohn’s & Colitis,” which is dedicated
to bringing awareness and funds to
those affected by this disease. They
found this experience to be the most
meaningful of their many mitzvah
projects.

and David Mayoras.
Alec is a student at West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. As part of
his most rewarding mitzvah experi-
ence, he volunteered at Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield, assist-
ing with the bingo games and interact-
ing with the seniors.

School in Bloomfield Hills. Among her
many mitzvah projects, she felt her
donation of toys to a classroom of chil-
dren with special needs was the most
meaningful.

Saturday, Feb. 25. She
will be joined in celebration by her
brother Jacob and proud grandparents
Linda Sherman, Larry Sherman, and
Rebecca and Cary Weitzman. Abbey is
also the loving great-grandchild of
Virginia and Leo Jacobs.
Abbey attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. As part of
her mitzvah project, she organized a
fundraiser to benefit a first-grade class-
room in the Detroit Public Schools. She
raised more than $1,600, which she used
to procure and donate school supplies,
hats, gloves and socks to the class.
