Imerman Cakes Stopping Production
Imerman Cake Company, a local
mother-son start-up company that
specialized in organic cakes, has
stopped baking its products. The
company’s mission has been to pro-
vide the community with delicious
cakes that are USDA-certified organic,
eco-friendly packaged and supportive
of Imerman Angels, a nonprofit one-
on-one cancer-support organization
that matches a cancer fighter with
someone who has survived that same
type of cancer.
“From the beginning, we have
used only the highest-quality organic
ingredients,” says Jeffrey Imerman, co-
founder of Imerman Cake Company.
“We pledged to never compromise
those principles. But, the cost of
organic ingredients increased our
expenses to a point that we are not
able to achieve the volume we need to
sustain the business for the long-term
future.
“It has been an amazing few years of
having our cakes on store shelves and
online,” he says. “We are proud to have
raised awareness and understanding
for the organic food movement and
for Imerman Angels.”
His mother, Jane Imerman, says,
“Thank you so much to those of you
who enjoyed our cakes and shared our
cakes with your friends and family.” •
