Sophie is the loving grandchild of
Barbara and the late Leonard Saltz,
and Leone and the late Jules
Blumberg.
She is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. For
her mitzvah project, Sophie raised
more than $1,100 for Make-A-Wish
Foundation by riding her bike in the
Wish-A-Mile Fundraiser. As a Wish
Kid herself, Sophie found it exception-
ally special to be able to raise funds so
that other kids could have wishes of
their own.

Grant Benjamin

brates his bar mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Feb. 11, at Temple
Burnstein
Shir Shalom in
West Bloomfield. He
will be joined in celebration by his sis-
ter, Becca. Grant is the loving grand-
son of Joyce and Steven Shwedel,
Dana Burnstein and the late Gary
Burnstein.
Grant is a student at Cranbrook
Kingswood Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. For his mitzvah
project, he was honored to volunteer
at the Dr. Gary Burnstein Community
Health Clinic and asked friends and
family to donate to the clinic in lieu of
bar mitzvah gifts.

Caroline Rose
Lippitt will be called
to the Torah as a bat
mitzvah on Saturday,
Feb. 11, at Temple

Bloomfield. Joining

Maureen and Amelia. She is the
grandchild of Elaine and David Lippitt,
Linda and Ken Rudisel, Marjie and
Stephen Ziff, and the late Don
Messing; she is the great-grandchild of
Vivian Smith.

Smart Middle School in Commerce
Township. Among her many mitzvah
experiences, Caroline found volun-

teering at the Friendship Circle in
West Bloomfield to be the most mean-
ingful.

and brother of Logan. Jake is the
grandchild of Alene and Donald
Shiffman, Trudy Saks and the late
Stan Saks.
He is a student at James R.
Geisler Middle School in Commerce
Township. As part of his mitzvah proj-
ect, Jake shared his love of baseball by
volunteering as a buddy at the Miracle
League, a charitable organization that
provides children with disabilities the
opportunity to play baseball as a team
member in an organized league.

mitzvah. He is the

Benjamin and Jordan Smith, and
brother of Carter, Reid and Piper. His
proud grandparents are Barbara and
Norman Benjamin, and Gaye and
Martin Smith.
Graham is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
His mitzvah experiences included
volunteering at the Friendship Circle
in West Bloomfield, which he found to
be very meaningful.

Jacknow and Jeff Zauberman. David is
the grandchild of Marcel and the late

Muriel and the late David Jacknow.
David is a seventh-grade student
at Hillel Day School of Metropolitan
Detroit in Farmington Hills. Among
his many mitzvah experiences, he
found playing bingo with the residents
of Jewish Senior Life’s Fleischman
Residence in West Bloomfield to be
the most meaningful.
