He came to Israel from Egypt in 1934 at age 12. He died peace- fully surrounded by Goldenberg his family in the same home his father built when they arrived in Israel. A warm, caring man, with special relationships with children and animals, he was loved by all who were blessed to know him. Mr. Goldenberg was the beloved father of Michael (Beverly Kent) Goldenberg of Huntington Woods and Haya (Dr. Amir) Alhalel of Hod Hasharon, Israel; grandfather of Etai (Caroline) Goldenberg of St Louis, Mo.; Oren Goldenberg of Detroit, Ravit (Dovev) Alhalel Peleg, Shanee (Hagay) Alhalel Lederman, and Hadar Alhalel of Israel; great-grandfather of Leo and Ami Goldenberg, Noga, Tamar and Na’ama Peleg. Locally, he was adored by his nephews and nieces, their children, and the extended family of Dr. Natan (the late Norma) HarPaz, Raya Goldenberg (Avram Gontovnik) and Moshe Koren (Shellie Kurtis). He was the devoted husband for 64 years of the late Esther. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends in Israel and throughout the world.
