While the sponsoring JCC Association requires an 8-to-1 par- ticipant-to-adult ratio for delegations at the Maccabi Games, Detroit’s ratio is generally much smaller. On a related note, Silver said, “It’s 99 percent certain” Detroit will host the Maccabi Games again in 2019. “So please think about being a volunteer or host family,” she said. Detroit previously was a Maccabi Games host in 1984, 1990, 1998, 2008 and 2014.
