Aaron Berofsky

Austria-born soprano Marguerite Kozenn-
Chajes fell in love with the music of Mozart
as a young student. In 1959, after years of
performing around the world — including
Carnegie Hall and the Vatican — Kozenn-
Chajes founded the Pro Mozart Society of
Greater Detroit, which was then taken over
by her daughter, Vivian Stollman, who
kept her mother’s vision alive. Now called
the Chamber Soloists of Detroit, under the
artistic direction of pianist Pauline Martin,
the organization presents a Winter Matinee
including violinists Aaron Berofsky and
Kathryn Votapek and Bloomfield Hills
violist Haeji Kim, performing Beethoven,
Faure and Mozart at St. John Lutheran
