Kraft-Lax

N

icole Kraft and Michael Lax were
married recently at The Inn at Bay
Harbor. The ceremony was officiated
by Rabbi Daniel Horwitz.
Nicole is the daughter of Shelly Kraft
and Walter Kraft and the granddaughter of
Lenore Mitteldorf, the late Eddie Mitteldorf,
Virginia Kraft and the late Walter Kraft.
Michael is the son of Debbie Tushman, and
the grandson of Carol and Larry Tushman.
Nicole received a bachelor of arts degree
in communications from Michigan State
University. She is the director at J. Wade
Public Relations, where she handles PR for
hospitality, culinary, design, fitness and real estate clients.
Michael attended Michigan State University and the College for Creative
Studies in Detroit. He is a photographer, specializing in landscapes, automobiles
and lifestyle for commercial clients.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Italy and reside in San Francisco, Calif.

t a recent dinner party, Phyllis and
Leon Shy of Commerce Township
renewed their wedding vows, cel-
ebrating 50 years of marriage; their brother,
Judge Bryan H. Levy, lovingly officiated.
Honoring them at this milestone are their
children, Lori and Michael Lieberman,
Sharon Firsht, Scott Shy, Tonya and Edward
Shy, and Faye and Marc Scher. Also sharing
this happy occasion with their grandparents
are Andrew, Alana and Mami Lieberman,
Matthew Firsht (fiancee, Elizabeth Slomski),
Jenny and Joey Shy, Fred Shy, Natalie Byrd,
and Sara and Matt Bodzy.

iane and Joey Lebovic and Mary and
Duane McDevitt, all of Farmington
Hills, are delighted to announce the
engagement of their children Rachel Shira
Lebovic and Kyle Robert McDevitt.
Rachel received her doctor of pharmacy
degree from the University of Michigan and
completed her pharmacy residency at U.N.C.
Chapel Hill. She works as a clinical pharmacist,
specializing in oncology, at the University of
Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Kyle received his bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in aerospace engineering from the
University of Michigan and works as an aero-
space engineer at Williams International in Commerce Township.
The couple reside in Ann Arbor, and a July wedding is planned in Downtown
Detroit.
