Making Connections

Young Jewish professionals network in Ferndale.

Y

oung Jewish professionals rubbed elbows and swapped business cards with
their peers as well as some of the community’s most influential business leaders
Nov. 9 at Local Kitchen and Bar in Ferndale at NEXTWork’s latest networking
event. They heard from keynote speaker Geoff Kretchmer, president of Star Trax Event
Productions and partner at Local Kitchen & Bar, both in Ferndale. Attendees also got to
enjoy a GO Comedy improv performance.
So far, more than 450 individuals people have connected with other professionals
through NEXTWork since its inception. NEXTWork is a partnership between JVS Detroit
and NEXTGen Detroit.
The Nov. 9 event was funded by the Hadas and Dennis Bernard Endowment Fund, and
Michael Serling of Serling Law.
