obituaries » FRED IRA BROWN, 84, of West Bloomfield, died Dec. 14, 2016. A first lieu- tenant Marine Corps veteran, Brown Mr. Brown was also active with Congregation B’nai David and its men’s club, Adat Shalom Synagogue and its men’s club, the Detroit Housewares Association, B’nai B’rith International, Friends of Magen David Adom, Myasthenia Gravis Association, Holocaust Memorial Center and Yad Vashem. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen Brown; children, Marty, Mike, Steve and Julie, Rod and Vicki; grand- children, Donovan, Camryn, Josh, Bryan, Samantha, Brittany, Andrew, Jason; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Seymour and Harriett Lusky, Irene Lusky, Magda Brown; many loving and close nieces, nephews, other relatives and a world of friends; devoted caregiver, James Arnold; and the caring staff of Fleischman Residence. Mr. Brown was the dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Robert Brown, the late Charlotte and the late Harry Weinstein, the late Ben Lusky, the late Herman and the late Elaine Lusky.
