She is survived by

many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kurtz was the beloved wife of the
late Isaac Kurtz; the cherished sister of the
late Anne and the late Morris Gerber, the
late Hilda and the late Frank Yorke, the
late Rae and the late Julius Klempner, the
late Nettie and the late Edward Newman;
the dear sister-in-law of the late Albert
Berke, and the late Freda and the late
Hyman Needelman.
Interment was at Beth Abraham
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to

of Southfield, died Dec.
10, 2016.
She was active for
more than 36 years
with National Council
of Jewish Women. She
volunteered with Meals
Mayer
on Wheels.
Mrs. Mayer is sur-
vived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Leon and Beth Jacobs
Mayer of Huntington Woods; daughter
and son-in-law, Miriam and William
Raminick of West Bloomfield; grandchil-
dren, Benjamin Mayer, Daniel Mayer,
Mindy Raminick; nieces and nephews,
Eric and Martha Young, Marla and
David Giwerc, Joel and Mindy Young.
Mrs. Mayer was the beloved wife for
49 years of the late Morris Mayer; dear
sister and sister-in-law of the late Phyllis
and the late David Young.
Contributions may be made to a char-
ity of one's choice. Interment was held at
Adat Shalom Memorial Park in Livonia.

DONALD MILLER, 82, of Warren, Ohio,
and Sarasota, Fla., died of heart failure on
Nov. 30, 2016.
He owned Miller and Gould Beauty
and Barber Supply of Youngstown, Ohio.
"Donnie" was the brother of Anita (Dr.
Edward) Haenick of Bloomfield Hills.
He was born Sept. 8, 1934, to Sarah
and Alfred Miller. He earned a bachelor
of fine arts degree from Ohio University
and then served two years in the Army.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife of 59
years, Sandy; daughter, Marcy Lichtcsien
of Columbus, Ohio; son, Mark (Robin) of
Cincinnati; grandchildren, Rachel (Carl)
Amerine and Adam (Megan Gochnak)
Lichtcsien, all of Columbus; sister, Anita
(Dr. Edward) Haenick; sisters-in-law,
Ruth Ruderman and Marilyn Segall
Carafelli; and many dear nieces and
nephews.
He was the brother-in-law of the late
Eric Ruderman and the late Stanley
Segall.
Burial was in Youngstown.

STEVEN NEUMAN, 61, of Pompano
Beach, Fla., died Dec. 5, 2016.
He is survived by his mother, Sarah
Neuman; sister and brother-in-law, Linda
and Robert Schmier; brother-in-law, Robert
Budman; nieces and nephews, Shelly and
Brian Marks, Neal and Callie Budman,
Brian and Jamie Schmier, Brad and Alyson
Schmier, and Lauren and Tim Carey; great-
nieces and great-nephews, Lexie Marks,
Marianna, Sofia and Eleanna Budman, Jake,
Chloe and Cole Schmier, Myla Schmier and
Dylan Carey; aunts, Norma Bisgeier, Judy
Stein, Ethel Bobroff and Sally Newman;
many other loving relatives and friends.
Mr. Neuman was the devoted son of the
late Seymour Neuman; the adored brother
of the late Marlene Budman; the cherished
great-uncle of the late Joshua Marks.
