The local funds are pooled with funds raised at similar gatherings all over the country, resulting in a significant con- tribution to the target program. The West Bloomfield chapter, which includes women from other parts of Metro Detroit as well, was started in 2013 by Sharona Shapiro and Lea Luger, both of West Bloomfield.
