PHOTOS BY BRETT MOUNTAIN

For the Franklin home of Michele Arkin and
Brian Elias, Richard Ross, owner of Richard Ross
Designs in Royal Oak, created an oasis of comfort
sprinkled with a dusting of glamour. In the “dining
lounge,” right, as Ross calls it, a tufted banquette wall is
upholstered in cut velvet; the fabric is repeated on the
chair backs. In the foyer, above, Ross covered the walls
with shimmering handmade paper by Phillip Jeffries,
which frames a console and bench of his own design.
