ANNE BEGEL, 93, of
West Bloomfield, died
Nov. 24, 2016.
She worked her
entire life; at age 40 she
decided to further her
education and became
a licensed practical
Begel
nurse. She worked in
the intensive care unit
of Sinai Hospital and then went on to
be one of the first nurses at Fleischman
Residence. Anne continued working after
her retirement as a respite nurse and vol-
unteered to give blood pressure screen-
ings until she was 80 years old.
Mrs. Begel was the devoted mother of
Jerry (Sandi) Begel, Elaine (Robert) Sandy
and Irene (the late Rafat) Al-Azem; lov-
ing grandmother of Emily (Aaron Siegel)
Begel, Marshall (Marsha Zelmanski)
Begel, Rachel (Sam) O’Connell, Victoria
Hatfield and Dennis Hunt, Alyah
Al-Azem, Sara Al-Azem; proud great-
grandmother of Sol O’Connell, Matilda
O’Connell, Wyatt Siegel and Corey Siegel;
beloved sister-in-law of Frank (Mickey)
Tencer.
She was the beloved wife of the late Sol
Begel; cherished sister of the late Samuel
(late Freida) Tencer, the late Benjamin
(late Julie) Tencer and the late Cyril (late
Freida) Tencer; grandmother of the late
Steven Sandy.
Contributions may be made to Repair
the World, 1460 Broadway, New York,
NY 10036; or a health charity of one’s
choice. Interment was at Workmen’s
Circle Cemetery in Clinton Township.

FREDERICK, 82, of
Southfield, died Nov.
24, 2016.
She is survived by
her husband of 60
years, Lou Frederick;

in-law, Dr. Randy

and Gail Frederick, and Dr. Mitchell
and Fanny Frederick; grandchildren,
Christopher, Ryan, Renee, Andy and
Alan Frederick; sister and brother-in-
law, Marsha and Sam Krinsky; sister-in-
law, Ida Pitt; niece, Cheri Trefney.
Mrs. Frederick was the loving sister
of the late Raymond Tachman.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made
