dren Alana Canvasser and Evan Wolf.
Alana earned her bachelor’s degree in
sport management and communication
from the University of Michigan and is an
event producer at George P. Johnson.
Evan earned his bachelor’s degree in busi-
ness from Michigan State University, com-
pleted law school at Detroit Mercy School of
Law and is now a tax attorney at Wolf Tax.
A November wedding is planned.

ichard and Rebecca Block are happy
to announce the engagement of their
daughter Stefanie to Charles, the son
of Lawrence and Helaine Russman.
Stefanie is the granddaughter of Eleanor
and the late C. Raymond Block, and the
late Ethel and the late Albert Ehrlich. She
obtained her undergraduate degree in
behavioral neuroscience from Connecticut
College and is pursuing her Ph.D. in clinical
psychology from the University of Michigan.
Charles is the grandson of Sandra and
the late Robert Russman, and the late Diane
and the late Irving Chasnick. He obtained
his undergraduate degree in psychology from Michigan State University, his law
degree from Wayne State University and his L.L.M. from Georgetown University.
He is a partner at Bodman PLC.

velyn Shepherd celebrated her 95th
birthday with family and friends at a
beautiful dinner party at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law on Sept. 10. She
shared the evening with her sons, Dr. David
(Susan) Shepherd and Dr. Steven Shepherd,
and her daughter, Sherry (Bob) Brown of
San Diego, Calif., as well as many other
relatives and friends. Evelyn has 10 grand-
children (18 including the married spouse s),
and 14 great-grandchildren. Everyone
wished her a happy and healthy year.
