TED PINES, 95, former-
ly of West Bloomfield,
died peacefully in hos-
pice care Oct. 20, 2016,
in Fort Wayne, Ind. He
will be sadly missed by
his family and friends.
Ted was a World War
Pines
II veteran who served
overseas. In addition
to his family, Ted loved
a good laugh, good food, swimming and
playing baseball and pinochle with old
friends.
He is survived by his sons and daugh-
ters-in-law, Lee and Andrea Pines, Barry
and Pat Pines; devoted grandchildren,
Justin (Terry) Pines, Courtney (Brandon)
Tews, CherylAnne (Patrick) Kelly, Gus
(Kelly) Pines, Michelle (Mike) Bertrand,
and Michael (Christina) Pines; great-
grandchildren, Carmen, Cieana, Nevaeh,
Taelyn, Drake, Dylan, Dane, Jacob, Joshua,
Joseph, Sadye, Brennan, Liam, Allison,
Benjamin and Jaden; sister and brothers-
in-law Donna and Harold Garmel, and
Richard Gray; many loving nieces, neph-
ews and friends.
Ted was married to the late Lenore

Pines for 59 years. He was the father of the
late Les Pines.

CHARLES R. SNOW,
89, of Southfield, died
Oct. 25, 2016.
A navy veteran of
World War II, Mr. Snow
was the retired owner
of Morris Snow and
Company, a family busi-

1933-1983. An active
member of Young Israel
of Oak Park, he also studied at the Kollel
Institute. The past president of Hebrew

Benevolent Society in 1993 and 1994,
Charles was a board member since 1983
and held numerous offices including trea-
surer.
Mr. Snow is survived by his beloved wife
of 63 years, Raiselle Snow; children, Reena
and Marc Ehrlich of New York, Saralee
and Fishel Gross of Maryland, David and
Chani Snow of Southfield, Miriam and
Dovid Gross of Illinois, Cheryl Ruth and
Chanan Kroll of Oak Park; sister-in-law,
Erma Snow; many loving grandchildren
and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, great-nephews, other family
members and many friends.
He was the cherished brother of the late
Albert Snow.
Interment was at Hebrew Memorial
