She lived to teach and was proud of all of her accomplishments, Czajkowski especially making an impression on so many kids in West Bloomfield 1966-1988 at Green, Doherty and Orchard Lake Middle School. She was an accomplished artist, selling her art at galleries in the area and earning awards at local art shows. She was a graduate of Cass Tech High School and the University of Michigan, class of 1958. She was an avid football fan, watching U-M and the Lions every weekend. She was full of spunk, drive and love. She taught us very well. Mrs. Czajkowski is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ailene Corlin and Sam Simko; grand- children, Melanie Corlin, Justin Corlin and Carly Simko; sister, Adrienne Labowitch; nieces and nephews, Aimee and Scott Lamb, Hardy Labowitch, Alan and Anita Resnick, Rhonda and Paul Rochlen, Debbie Cohen and Andy Pass. She is also survived by Fred’s children and grandchildren; and her dear friend, Robert Corlin. He played bas- ketball and baseball for Michigan State University from Frankel C. 1988 1944-1945 and for Wayne State University from 1947-1950. He also played with the U.S. Navy Oklahoma Skyjackets basketball team from 1945-1947. At Michigan State, he was the first freshman basketball player to win a letter. At Wayne State, he pitched a no-hitter, won Best Athlete Award and was elected to the Hall of Fame. At Northern High School, he won nine letters and was elected to the All-State basketball team. Mr. Frankel was inducted into the Michigan Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.
