Zoe Charness
Noah Benjamin Charness and Zoe
Rebecca Charness, children of Amy
and Neal Charness, will share the
bimah at Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield Saturday, Nov. 5, as they
celebrate their b’nai mitzvah. Sharing
in their celebration will be grandpar-
ents Gayle and Barry Trabitz. They
are also the grandchildren of the late
Florence and the late Benjamin
Charness.
Noah and Zoe are students at West
Hills Middle School in Bloomfield
Hills. They performed many mitz-
vah projects but each felt that one
was most meaningful. For Noah, it
was his experience raising funds for
and participating in the ALS walk in
memory of family friend Eric Baron.
For Zoe, it was volunteering for mul-
tiple years at Doggie in the Window
Dog Care. Both felt that being able
to make a real difference was very
rewarding.
grandparents are Bruce and Julie
Guttman of Huntington Woods,
and Jim and Cheryl Altman of West
Bloomfield. Hudson was named after
his late great-grandmother Helen
Guttman and his late great-uncle
Robert Altman. His Hebrew name
is in memory of his late maternal
great-grandparents Gerald and Betty
Simons.
