Rachel and Jason Zimmerman.

The Zimmermans spoke about their
history with Yad Ezra and how special
it was for them to be honored because
Yad Ezra honored Rachel’s parents,
Bluma and the late Robert Schechter,
in 2001.
In addition to paying tribute to the
Zimmermans, Diane Klein presented
the Diane and (the late) Emery Klein
Volunteer of the Year award to Rae and
Manny Schane.

dinner at Adat Shalom
Synagogue Sept. 28 honoring
Rachel and Jason Zimmerman. Dinner
chairs, Molly and Aaron Chernow,
Rachel and Josh Opperer, and Bluma
Schechter, welcomed more than 420
guests to the event that raises critical
funds that provide the large quantity
and variety of groceries for the kosher
food pantry’s client families.
