TEEN WRITERS SOUGHT FOR NEW ANTHOLOGY
Bubbie Publishing is collecting stories and poems from writers ages 12-19 for an
anthology of original work to be printed in a paperback book.
There is no cost, no obligation and no compensation to be included. The writers
of the story will get full credit and may retain all rights to their work.

hosted a fundraiser Oct. 5 at CoreCYCL
in West Bloomfield that included exercise
classes and local vendors with shopping.
Money that was raised will go to put-
ting smiles on many faces and granting
wishes through Make-A-Wish.

educational background is required
for eligibility. Fellows who are reli-
giously observant as well as those only
marginally affiliated with Judaism are
selected.
The Fellowships are awarded com-
petitively to 26 individuals who will be
entering 12th grade in the fall of 2017.
Fellowship awards are based on merit.
Application deadline is Jan. 4, 2017.

The Bronfman Fellowship is a fully
funded Fellowship available to out-
standing Jewish students of all back-
grounds who are in their junior year of
high school. The program seeks intel-
lectually curious and mature appli-
cants with a strong character.
The purpose of the Fellowship is to
invest in a cohort of bright young Jews
who will be leaders of tomorrow in all
areas of Jewish and public life.
Included are an all-expense paid
five-week trip to Israel and two semi-
nars in New York City where Fellows
explore Jewish identity, Jewish ideas,

SHABBAT TOGETHER
In conjunction with the upcoming
worldwide Unity Shabbos, the West
Bloomfield Jewish community will
celebrate a musical Havdalah service
at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the
Jewish Community Center in West
Bloomfield.
The Havdalah service will be fol-
lowed by a musical program and
refreshments. There is no charge.
Adults and children are invited. The
musical service will be led by Rabbi
Sasson Natan of the Sephardic syna-
gogue Keter Torah in West Bloomfield.
