She is survived by her daughter and son- in-law, Merle and Ron Schwartz; sons and Sherman daughters-in-law, Dr. Lawrence Sherman and Caroline Conner, Martin Sherman and Dr. Linda Wallen; grand- children, Dr. Robert (Heather) Sherman, Andrew (Heather) Schwartz, Dr. Eric (Dr. Dawn Celiz) Sherman, Sarah (Micah) Herman, Jessica (David) Burns, Russell (Jeanette) Sherman, Adam Sherman, Rachel Sherman; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Isaac, Maya, Hailey, Owen, Alfie, Avery; many loving other family members and friends. Mrs. Sherman was the beloved wife of the late Alfred I. Sherman; great-grand- mother of the late Aviva Pearl Herman. Interment took place at Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia. Arrangements by Dorfman Chapel. DR. MARVIN SEYMOUR WECKSTEIN, 87, of Novi, died Oct. 17, 2016. A graduate of Central High School, Wayne University and its medical school and a Weckstein renowned psychiatrist for more than 50 years, Dr. Weckstein was devoted to his patients, many of whom remember his excellent care to this day. He taught psychiatry to dentists and family practice doctors. He also was a dedicated table tennis enthusiast, playing in a weekly competitive group; and he par- ticipated actively in tennis, skiing, jogging and other forms of exercise. Dr. Weckstein had a passion for learning and an enthusiasm for life to his last day. He will long be remembered for his sweet smile. Dr. Weckstein is survived by his chil- dren, Louis Weckstein and Karen Denevi of Alamo, Calif., Naomi Weckstein and Rabbi Elliot Pachter of West Bloomfield, Sander and Wendy Weckstein; brother and sister-in-law, Malcolm and Charlene Weckstein of Farmington Hills; grand- children, Carly Weckstein, Ariana Weckstein, Gabriel Pachter, Jonathan Pachter, Ethan Weckstein, Devin Weckstein, Taylor Weckstein; friends and patients; his many caregivers at Fox Run Rose Court.
