Foodie Fundraiser Chefs compete at

JEWELS & TIMEPIECES AUCTION

ore than 100 people gath-
ered on Sept. 19 at the
Farber Soul Center and
Soul Cafe in West Bloomfield for a
MasterChef-style fundraiser to benefit
the Friendship Circle.
Local celebrity chefs Reva
Constantine (Great Lakes Culinary
Center), Derik Watson (Bistro 82 and
The Morrie) and Sarah Welch (Republic
Tavern) went head to head in a culinary
battle where each chef — along with
two audience member sous chefs —

competed in an exciting cooking com-
petition won by Constantine.
Michelle Bommarito, an accom-
plished chef and TV/radio personality,
entertained guests as emcee. In addition
to the competition, guests enjoyed des-
serts and cooking demonstrations.
The event, which raised $10,000,
was hosted by Jennifer Lovy of West
Bloomfield, a longtime Friendship Circle
supporter whose son attends a number
of Friendship Circle programs.
