He Boritzki will be joined in cel- ebration by his proud parents, Stefanie and Tom Boritzki, and sister Samantha. Justin is the loving grand- son of Carol and Roy Loring, Linda Boritzki and Tom Boritzki. He is a student at James R. Geisler Middle School in Commerce Township. As part of his mitzvah proj- ect, Justin volunteered at the Forgotten Harvest Farm. He found this project to be very meaningful as he felt his time farming directly helped with the orga- nization’s mission to stop hunger. Rayna Shira Golnick, daughter of Marla and Dr. Jason Golnick, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Congregation Beth Ahm in West Golnick Bloomfield. She will be joined in celebra- tion by her sister Ariel and proud grandparents Rochelle and Jerry Zabel, and Linda Golnick. She is also the granddaughter of the late Dr. Arnold Golnick. Rayna attends Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. For her most meaningful mitz- vah project, she collected baby items to use as Kiddush luncheon center- pieces, which will be donated to Jewish Family Service. Maxwell Benjamin Mocio will read from the Torah on the occasion of his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. Mocio 15. Joining in his cel- ebration will be his proud parents, Sheri and Jim Mocio, and sister Kaitlyn. Maxwell is the grandchild of Judy and Robert Mocio, and the late Vivian and the late David Gildenberg. He is a student at Walnut Creek Middle School in West Bloomfield. With his love of baseball, Max raised funds and donated to help those less fortunate play baseball and participate in related activities. He found this to be the most meaningful of his many mitzvah projects. EAT HERE Lilli Rachael Semel will become a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield as she reads from the Torah on Saturday, Oct. 15. She will be joined in Semel celebration by her proud parents, Lori and Ronald Semel, and brother Jacob. Lilli is the grand- child of Frances and the late Harvey Wolok, and the late Mary and the late Robert Semel. Lilli is a student at Walnut Creek Middle School in West Bloomfield. For her most meaningful mitzvah project, Lilli earned funds to donate to the Holocaust Memorial Center-Zekelman Family Campus in Farmington Hills. Dylan Jacob Shefman, son of Amy and Scott Shefman, will read from the Torah on the occasion of his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel in Shefman West Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. 15. He will be joined in celebration by his brother Jordan and proud grandpar- ents Gail and Norman Koenigsberg, and Judi and Stephen Shefman. Dylan attends Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills. For his most meaningful mitzvah project, he gave his time to raise funds and volunteer for Peace of Pizza, a Detroit-based charity that feeds homeless and less fortunate people in the city of Detroit. Joshua Parker Weingarden, son of Mike and Susan Weingarden and brother of Rachel, wil l celebrate his bar mitzvah Saturday, Oct. 15, at Temple Weingarden Kol Ami in West Bloomfield. His proud grandparents are Jerry and Ellen Kaplan, and Marvin and Shirley Weingarden. Josh attends Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills.
