Wittenberg. She is the great-grand-
child of the late Bessie and Ruben
Katz, the late Rose and Samuel
Stewart, the late Hinda and Louis
Apfelblat, and the late Estelle and
David Wittenberg.
Elle attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. Her most
meaningful mitzvah project involved
volunteering at the JARC Chanukah
party, where she served dinner and
spent time celebrating with the resi-
dents.

udi and Barry Freund of Waterford
are thrilled to announce the engage-
ment of their son Brian Steven to
Emily Elizabeth Anderson, daughter of Tom
and Mary Anderson of Manistee.
Emily graduated from Ferris State University
with a degree in applied speech and com-
munication with a minor in hospitality sci-
ence. Brian graduated from Eastern Michigan
University with a degree in political science.
Brian and Emily own and operate "That
French Place" in Charlevoix, Mich.
An October wedding is planned in Boyne
City; they are planning a honeymoon in
France.
