Beth Ahm continues to be one big
family. There are no insiders, no
outsiders, and no barriers to
participation. All ages are welcome
and all ages play a part. At every
event and on every Shabbat we
feel love and warmth from our Beth
Ahm family and we want to share it
with you.

Take Time In Elul
To Reflect Before
The High Holidays

We invite you to experience Beth
Ahm by joining us on Shabbat and
staying for lunch, coming to an
event, or speaking with Rabbi
Rubenstein. Let us help you make
Beth Ahm part of your future.

J

oin The Well, an outreach
initiative headed by Rabbi
Dan Horwitz, in its month-
long campaign of introspection
and gratitude leading up to Rosh
Hashanah. For the Hebrew month
of Elul, each day just follow these
three simple steps: Stop. Reflect.
Share.
1. Stop: Take a moment each
day until Rosh Hashanah, whether
it is the same time every day, on
your commute to and from work,
when you wake up in the morning
or when you are walking your dog
at night. Just stop for a beat. Take
a breath. In through your nose,
hold it for a second or two, and
then exhale through your mouth.
Repeat.
2. Reflect: Each day, think back
on the year that was. What were the
highlights/lowlights? What were
the blessings and shortcomings —
both internal and external? What
are areas ripe for personal growth?
Who do you need to apologize to?
Who do you need to forgive?
3. Share: Each day, post a
thought/picture/song/article to your
social media outlet of choice, fol-
lowed by the hashtag #Refect4Rosh
(it’ll allow our posts to link togeth-
er).
It’s just that easy to connect with
the global Jewish community as we
prepare ourselves to enter the High
Holiday season with intention and
gratitude.
Don’t worry — there’s no pres-
sure to post every single day, but
consider the challenge extended!
At the end of the month, The
Well hopes to curate an incredible
and unique collection of thoughts,
aspirations, goals, regrets and
apologies, and reflections to bring
people around the world together
during this High Holiday season.
