PAULINE SLOAN, 69,
of Oak Park, died Aug.
23, 2016.
To the people whom
she helped over her
many years as an
accredited addiction
counselor, she was truly
Sloan
a lifesaver; to the hun-
dreds of people whom
she befriended over the
course of her life, she was a light show-
ing the way through darkness and the
hand you take to cross to safety.
She loved her family, life, friends,
dogs, movies, Broadway shows, travel-
ing, music, books, the pool and food —
not necessarily in that order. She has left
too soon and will be sorely missed. As
a role model and an example of how to
make a positive impact on the world, she
will live on, still continuing to influence
all those who knew and loved her.
Ms. Sloan was the beloved daughter of
the late Nathan and the late Molly Sloan;
loving partner of Lawrence Steinhart;
devoted sister and sister-in-law of Rita
Sloan Gottlieb and David Gottlieb;
doting aunt to Daniel, Shari, Michael,
Julianna and Sarah Gottlieb, and George
Adams; besotted great-aunt to Jonah
and Diana Gottlieb, and Liam Gottlieb
Adams.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made

Winehouse Foundation,

Sheldon Stone; dear-
est brother of Edward
(Tamar Mizrahi) Stone;

son-in-law of Donald and Lee Geller, the
late Kim Geller; grandson of Lillian Mills

ins; David Carly and Blake Mills, Evan,
