WALK FOR
ALZHEIMER’S AT
COMERICA PARK

The Alzheimer’s Association-Greater
Michigan Chapter will host its annual
“Walk to End Alzheimer’s” Saturday,
Oct. 1, at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Registration for the 2-mile walk will
begin at 9 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m.
ceremony and 10:30 a.m. start.
More than 600 communities in
the nation take part in the “Walk to
End Alzheimer’s,” which is the world’s
largest event to raise awareness and
funds for Alzheimer’s care, support
and research. Registration is required
and while there is no participation fee,
those involved are encouraged to
fundraise for the organization and
bring attention to the cause. The
nonprofit will provide tools, includ-
ing webinars, to help them seek out
donations.
On walk day, participants who have
raised more than $100 will receive a
T-shirt, and all registrants will receive
a wristband with a Promise Garden
flower.

deductible.
