JUNE 18 Kate and David Kurzmann of Royal Oak are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Sari Caroline (Sara Lior). Adoring Kurzmann grandparents are Lisa and Danny Kurzmann of West Bloomfield, and Roberta and David Feldman of Rochester, N.Y. Proud great-grandparents are Florence Feldman of Delray Beach, Fla., Florence Kirsch of Rochester, N.Y., Marjorie and Maurice Kurzmann, and Stanley Aaron. Sari is named in loving memory of her maternal great-grandfather Seymour Kirsch and paternal great-grandmother Carole Aaron. Naomi Lupovitch will celebrate her bat mitzvah Saturday, Aug. 20, at B’nai Israel Synagogue in West Bloomfield. She is the daughter of Jeffrey Lupovitch and Lupovitch Alissa Citron. Sharing in the simchah will be her siblings Miriam, Aviva and Ezra. Honored grandparents are Henry and Janice Citron, and Aaron and Rochelle Lupovitch. Naomi attends Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington Hills. She has enjoyed volunteering at Meer Apartments in West Bloomfield through the Dor L’Dor program at Hillel. MAY 4 Rene and Kenneth Wolok are proud to announce the birth of their son, Layton Jack. He is welcomed by his big brothers Landon Wolok and Ryan Wolok and by his big sister Jaclyn Weiss (Kevin) of Plantation, Fla. He is also the great-grandson of the late Ruth Doggett. Layton’s Hebrew name is Moshe, after his late grandpa Morris Wolok. Theodore “Ted” Harry Schwartz will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills on Saturday, Aug. 20. He Schwartz will be proudly joined by his parents, Alison and David Schwartz, and his brothers Michael and William.
