Hang Out At The Backroom

T

here’s a brand new dining and
entertainment space at MGM
Grand Detroit, the Backroom
at TAP (1777 3rd Ave.). Located just off
the restaurant, it’s a space where you can
hang out and play games like giant Jenga,
shuffleboard and darts, all in a friendly
and laid back, social club environment.
The Backroom features
the entire TAP menu, which
focuses on comfort food and
offers a number of rotating
nightly specials. There’s also
a Backroom-exclusive menu
during extended late-night
hours on Friday and Saturday
nights, with the kitchen open
Ryan
until 2 a.m. Some of those
Fishman
dishes include fried green
beans, Reuben egg rolls, mus-
sels and calamari.
The Backroom is reserved for guests
21 and older and opens daily at 7 a.m.
Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations
can also be made by calling (313) 465-
1234.

NEW FUNDING OPTION FOR
LOCAL RESTAURATEURS
With an eye on loans for the restaurant
industry, Ready Capital Corporation in
Birmingham has launched a new divi-
sion, Restaurant Loan Corporation.
The division is now open in its offices
at 199 Pierce St., and the new lender
will offer working capital, lines of credit,
equipment leasing, business advances
and mortgages for restaurant opera-
tors. There will also be a focus on Small
Business Administration financing, com-
mercial bridge loans, debt consolidation
and assistance in accessing commercial
bank loans.
Vice President Makenzie Backonen
says the industry has a dramatic failure
rate in the infancy stage of many res-
taurants, so with a lender who focuses
exclusively on restaurant loans, there’s
an opportunity to pick the lowest-cost
financing option that’s tailor-made to an
entrepreneur’s specific needs and goals.
Backonen also says there are a number
of low-interest federal loan programs
many in the industry would be unfamil-
iar with, and Restaurant Loan Corp. will
act as a comprehensive “one-stop-shop”
with its own menu of business loan solu-
tions.

WE BACK UP EVERY WARRANTEE. WE GIVE 100%, not like
companies that warrantee today and out of business tomorrow.
